We only take on sites a director can reach every week. That keeps the work to three regions and twelve pools a year.

Gold Coast
Most of our work sits within a short drive of the studio at Burleigh Heads. Beachfront blocks in Mermaid Beach and Burleigh bring sand, a high water table and salt air, so we pier where the engineer asks and choose stone that will not spall. On the canals of Sovereign Islands and Sanctuary Cove we build to the revetment wall. In the Currumbin and Tallebudgera valleys, slope and rock shape the design.

In Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield the blocks are older and the houses often sit in a character overlay. Pools go into established gardens, so access is through side passages or over the roof by crane, and the design has to answer to the house as much as the yard. Reactive clay moves with the seasons, which is why every shell is engineered for its own site.

Northern Rivers
Across the border we build from Kingscliff and Casuarina down to Byron Bay, and up onto the hinterland ridges at Coorabell and Bangalow. Coastal sites here mean sand and salt again. Hinterland sites mean steep access, rock and long views, which is where a lap pool or an infinity edge set square to the outlook earns its place.
